Senior Hottie? I think not....

So good ol' Surfer Wife posted her "I was a #SeniorHottie " post and now I would like to share with the world my photos I dug up! I can't believe I am actually posting these pictures, but I can never pass up a competition haha! So without further ado here I am with no sense on how to style my naturally curly hair that was cut way too short for my liking:

So this is the infamous photo my beginning Senior year:
Good ol' graduation photo with my parents, think my dad is hungover...wearing his sunglasses indoors! HA!
And how could I forget the wonderful grad present of a Glamor shot package from my grandparents! YIKES!!
Now that I got that horrible first picture out of the way, I may be nominated for not changing much since high school! You be the judge: Dressed up:
In the car:
Love taking photos of myself:

May is Lupus awareness month

I am so grateful for Twitter and how it can bring people together. Had I not been following Amy then I would of never known she has Lupus nor would I have known about Lupus. Amy is  rapper Yelawolf's sister. Together we would like to spread the word about Lupus.
Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that can affect any part of the body. An estimated 5 million people around the world have lupus.
Most people know very little about lupus.  But by working together we can change that. Imagine the impact we can have if we all help raise worldwide recognition of lupus, assuring earlier diagnosis, better treatments, and greater support for people everywhere! Join Amy Simpson and help raise awareness! Here is a link to Amy's story and the place to donate, every little bit helps!! May 18th is POP (Put On Purple)

Follow Amy on Twitter as well @SistaWolf

You can also purchase one of these shirts for $10 + $5.50 shipping

A little bit about me for #UBP12

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to stop here! This is my first time doing the UBP12 and I am super excited to meet new bloggers from all around the world! so here is a little about muah.. I am Nicole. I am a mom to 3 wonderful kids... 10 year old twins and a 9 year old! Life has not always been easy for my family and I. I lost my first son when he was 3 years old. Life became difficult after that. I fell off for awhile.  However 6 years ago I got better and life is grand now! I am a food server at a terrific establishment. My boyfriend Ryan and I have been through thick and thin for 4 years now and he is incredible! My kids call him dad. I left their father about 8 years ago due to an abusive relationship. I started blogging about 7 months ago and am really getting into it. I blog about products, life, crafts and even baking! We also have a zoo of animals 2 Boxer dogs, 2 birds, 2 hamsters and a chameleon! I absolutely LOVE butterflies. When my cousin was murdered he was in Nathan Adelson's hospice and they hold a live butterfly release every year...you purchase a live butterfly and about 200 people show up at a park. Everyone gets a program with their loved ones name inside, then you whisper a wish in the butterflies ear and everyone sets them free at the same time so it can carry the wish up to your loved one in heaven. It is therapeutic and I have attended it the past 5 years now. I even have a tattoo of a blue butterfly because that was my sons fave color. The legend is that when we pass, we don't disappear we just change form like a butterfly!
"If nothing ever changed then there would be no butterflies"
So there is a bit about me, leave a comment and I will come follow you and return the favor! I am so happy to be attending this wonderful event! Thank you 5 minutes for Mom for this amazing opportunity!
Here is a picture of me and my sweetie!

Facedew to the rescue!

So the amazing company Eyedews has a new product they let a select few try out and I was one of them! It is called a Facedew and let me tell ya it is AMAZEBALLS!! When I received it I put it in the fridge and let it chill. I got my face clean and put my book next to the coffee table, I peeled back the wrapper and the scent was refreshing! I chose the White tea mask for normal skin. You may need a towel as the mask and all it's wet goodness kind of spills out. I placed it on my face, laid down and began to read my book. It smelled soooo good and felt amazing! I left it on for 45 minutes and removed it, instantly my face felt soft, smooth and ample! I got ready for work and my boyfriend said I looked vibrant and refreshed. Eyedews you have outdone yourselves with this one and I cannot wait until you sell these amazing masks for all to enjoy, especially my boyfriend and mom. It has been 2 days since I used it and my skin still feels soft. Don't forget to try Eyedews for yourself! www.eyedews.com you won't be sorry!

Observations at Boy Scouts

Yesterday was my 10 year old sons Pinewood Derby for Boy Scouts. As we are waiting for the race to start I notice a little 4 year girl with dark purple eyeshadow on! This makes me think about Toddlers and Tiaras and why some moms can't just let their kids be kids. All these pageant girls with all the make up and fake eyelashes etc is wrong to me, these little girls are going to look old when they are still young. Let the girls be girls! As if that wasn't enough for me to see... a family comes to sit at our table and a little boy is drinking a Monster energy drink! My kids later inform me that he is 10 and he drinks Monsters and coffee. Maybe I am just an over protective mom to my kids, but when my boyfriend and I drink these we see the warning label that clearly states that energy drinks  are not intended fro kids 18 and under.
Anyway onto a happier note my son placed 3rd in the race and we had a wonderful time snacking on pretzels and nacho cheese!

Kids say the darndest things

Being  a mom is so rewarding for so many reasons. I cherish every moment good or bad with my kids. While on our way to school we play Foster the People's Pumped up kicks and we sing along loudly and act goofy, it is a great way to start the day. My boyfriend and I have been together for 4 years now and the kids started calling him dad! A few weeks ago when the kids were getting ready for school my son Brandon who is 10 asked my boyfriend if we were ever going to get married to which my boyfriend replied "I need to save money for a ring" and my son says to him "Grandpa owes me $10, will that help?" When my boyfriend told me that I almost cried and then I laughed!! Kids really do say the darndest things. So innocent and precious! Like my headline says on my blog "Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things! Which brings me to one of my favorite songs "Let them be little" by Billy Dean:  Enjoy!

Spring is in the air

So with Spring here we have been gearing up for some crafts. My 9 year old daughter came home from school and had the cutest little poem she wrote about Spring so I am sharing it here. Enjoy!
